Robert A. Romanchek, J.D., CPA, leads Hewitt’s Midwest Market Group Executive Compensation Practice and is a manager of Hewitt Associates LLC with more than 18 years of experience providing guidance on a broad range of executive compensation-related matters, both domestic and global. Bob has consulted with hundreds of public companies, and his expertise includes all forms of long-term incentives, executive supplemental retirement and deferral programs and their related funding mechanisms, change-in-control and general severance programs, employment contracts, retention plans, and executive pay levels. He also has specialized executive compensation knowledge in global merger and acquisition transactions, in initial public offering/spin-off/divestiture situations, as well as in turnarounds and bankruptcy proceedings. Bob also has authored numerous articles and publications in the executive compensation area, and is a frequent speaker at industry and trade group events. His recent work has included considerable time spent consulting directly with the Compensation Committees of various Boards on issues pertaining to corporate governance, executive compensation, and outside director pay.Bob is a graduate of the DePaul University College of Law, and also holds an M.B.A., cum laude, from the DePaul University College of Commerce. His undergraduate degree is in accounting and economics.
