Claude E. Johnson Managing Director Pearl Meyer & Partners Claude Johnston, a Managing Director at Pearl Meyer & Partners, is a recognized authority on the tax and legal aspects of executive and Board remuneration. Mr. Johnston leads the Firm's services in these areas, advising on the design and implementation of compensation programs, employment contracts, severance agreements, tax-deferral and funding arrangements for major public corporations and private enterprises. Mr. Johnston holds an A.B. from Colgate University, a J.D. from Tulane Law School, where he was Editor-in-Chief of the Law Review, and an LL.M. in Taxation from New York University. Prior to joining the Firm, he was a Partner at Hughes Hubbard & Reed and Chairman of that firm's Executive Compensation Practice Group.
