Ted Jarvis is a San Francisco-based Consultant affiliated with Towers Perrin’s Executive Compensation Research and Development Unit. Mr. Jarvis oversees the development of templates, processes, and methodologies for a broad range of executive compensation-related financial and quantitative applications at Towers Perrin. In this capacity, he serves as a liaison between field practitioners, database developers, and Towers Perrin’s Executive Compensation Resources (ECR) division. He serves as an internal resource on accounting, tax and securities law, and contributes to many of the Executive Compensation practice's intellectual capital development initiatives. With Paula Todd, he collaborated on chapters for Executive Compensation Advisory Services’ Guide to Management Stock Incentive Plans (2000) and Guide to Board Compensation (2002), as well as articles for the Journal of Compensation and Benefits and WorkSpan. He also wrote several articles for Towers Perrin’s annual anthology on executive compensation-related issues (The Year in Executive Compensation, 2002 and 2003 editions). Mr. Jarvis joined Towers Perrin in 1994 after two years at McKinsey & Company. A Fulbright scholar at the University of Vienna, he graduated cum laude from New York University and obtained an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.
