Ryan Compaan is a Senior Consultant in the Performance, Measurement and Rewards practice of Mercer Human Resource Consulting, specializing in Executive Compensation. Based in Chicago, he is an expert in the analysis of financial and compensation data in order to identify the drivers of shareholder value and their relationship to performance management and executive compensation. Mr. Compaan has significant experience in incentive plan design, competitive pay and competitive performance benchmarking and technical advisory work on tax, accounting and SEC regulatory issues. Mr. Compaan was a Senior Associate with SCA Consulting and joined Mercer through its acquisition of SCA. At SCA he focused on the design and implementation of performance measurement and executive compensation programs. Prior to SCA, he was a consultant with Ernst & Young. Mr. Compaan has worked with public and private companies and not-for-profit organizations across most industry sectors. Mr. Compaan graduated from the University of Chicago with a B.A. in Political Science.
